The New Pornographers

In July 2010, when The New Pornographers performed "My Rights Versus Yours" live at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, they were riding high on the success of their album *Together*, which they had released just a couple of months earlier, in May 2010. This album marked their fifth studio effort and showcased their signature blend of power pop and indie rock, featuring vibrant melodies and ensemble vocals that fans had come to adore. Interestingly, *Together* received critical acclaim and was seen as a return to form after a few years of solo projects from its members. At this point, the band was also in a celebratory space, reflecting on their decade-long journey in music, which made their live performances all the more electric. Catching that moment in Tulsa, where fans exultantly shouted for the classic "Mass Romantic," only added to the electric atmosphere that night, reminding everyone of the band's knack for cultivating community through their songs.
