Rush

Back in December 1991, Rush was deep into the "Roll the Bones" era, having released the album just a couple of months prior, in September. This album marked a fascinating transition for the band; it was their first foray into a more accessible sound, blending their classic progressive rock roots with elements of pop and even hip-hop influence, notably in the title track. The live performance at the Knickerbocker Arena, captured in the video "Rush - Subdivisions 12-12-1991," reflects this shift beautifully. Interestingly, the “Roll the Bones” tour not only highlighted their evolving sound but also showcased their incredible musicianship, once again demonstrating why they’re regarded as one of the most technically proficient bands in the rock genre. Fans were treated to both nostalgia with hits like "Subdivisions" and excitement for the new direction, making the atmosphere electric that night.
