Before the live recording in Frankfurt on September 24, 2004, they had released "Vapor Trails," which came out in 2002 after a five-year hiatus. This album rekindled the band’s energy and connection to their fans, so it’s fascinating to see how they embraced both their history and new sounds in the live performance. The R30 DVD, released on November 22, 2005, not only showcased the band's classic hits but also featured some tracks from "Vapor Trails,” allowing fans to relish the transition from their earlier works to their newer musical identity. Interestingly, Rush is known for their intricate compositions and thought-provoking lyrics, and during this tour, they celebrated both iconic tracks like “Tom Sawyer” and deeper cuts that often flew under the radar.
