Just before this live recording, the band had released 'It's None of Your Business' in 2013, marking their continued evolution in a style rooted in the distinctive 'Canterbury Sound.' Interestingly, 'Nine Feet Underground' itself is a hallmark of their progressive rock legacy, originally part of their acclaimed 1971 album 'In the Land of Grey and Pink.' The performance in the picturesque Mount Ephraim Gardens, near Canterbury, not only highlighted their classic long-form pieces but also demonstrated the band's ability to connect with both new and longtime fans, bridging generations with their timeless melodies and intricate compositions.
