The Flaming Lips

In October 1989, when The Flaming Lips graced the stage at the UC Davis Coffee House, the band was in a transformative phase. This album showcased their move towards a more experimental sound, blending rock with ethereal elements that would become their hallmark. Interestingly, this live performance not only highlighted their burgeoning experimental style but also featured their unique take on Jonathan Richman's "Don't Let Our Youth Go To Waste" and The Stooges’ "1969," marking it as one of the rare occasions they played these tracks.
