Wilco

On July 6, 2004, Wilco performed at Lille Vega in Copenhagen, delivering a stellar live rendition of "Handshake Drugs" from their acclaimed album "A Ghost Is Born," which was released just a couple of months before that concert. By this stage in their career, Wilco was transitioning into a band more willing to embrace experimental sounds, moving further away from the alt-country roots they were once known for. "A Ghost Is Born" exhibits their artistic evolution through textures and layered instrumentation—an approach vividly on display in this live performance. Interestingly, this album marked a period of significant change for the band, coinciding with the departure of guitarist Jay Bennett, which added a layer of complexity to their dynamic as they navigated new musical terrain without him.
