In October 2007, when Queen performed "God Save The Queen" live in Montreal, they were riding the wave of nostalgia and resurgence that accompanied their celebrated legacy. This performance, recorded for the "Queen Rock Montreal" album, was a nod to their remarkable history while featuring iconic tracks from their extensive catalog. Notably, this live album came out nearly three decades after their classic "A Night at the Opera," which catapulted them to global fame. Interestingly, by this time, the band had seen the excellent collaboration with Paul Rodgers—who filled in for the irreplaceable Freddie Mercury—and allowed Queen’s music to resonate with both old fans and a new generation. The Montreal concert was part of their effort to remind everyone of their past while embracing the present. It was a thrilling showcase, reflecting their ability to keep the spirit of rock alive, proving yet again that Queen's magic doesn’t fade with time—it just keeps on rocking!
