While they were promoting the *Death Magnetic* album, Metallica took the opportunity to perform some fan favorites, like "Creeping Death," with former bassist Jason Newsted, who had departed the band years earlier. His return for this show undoubtedly stirred up nostalgia for longtime fans, blending past and present in a beautiful way.
