Metallica

Back in November 2018, Metallica was still riding high from the monumental success of their 2016 album, "Hardwired… to Self-Destruct." This album marked their first release in eight years and saw a return to their thrash metal roots while also exploring new sounds, much to the delight of longtime fans. The live recording of "The Unforgiven" at the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco was part of the All Within My Hands Foundation's Helping Hands Concert & Auction, showcasing the band's commitment to philanthropy. It’s a fascinating intersection of their musical journey and their mission to give back. Interestingly, for this performance, they brought in some talented guest musicians, like Avi Vinocur on mandolin, adding a unique twist to the iconic track.
