The Who

This concert took place shortly after they released their ambitious rock opera, *Quadrophenia*, in 1973, which would come to define a generation and solidify their legacy. But right before that, they had just put out *Who's Next* in 1971—a landmark album featuring classics like "Baba O'Riley" and "Behind Blue Eyes," both of which are showcased in this live set. It’s intriguing to note that *Who's Next* was originally conceived as *Lifehouse*, an even grander project that didn’t quite pan out as imagined. Watching them perform a setlist packed with energy and iconic tracks, you can feel the band's chemistry; they were known for their explosive live shows, with Roger Daltrey's commanding presence and Pete Townshend's windmill guitar antics really pushing the envelope on rock performance.
