In March 1981, when The Who took the stage at Grugahalle in Essen for their legendary "Rockpalast" performance, they were riding the wave of their album "Face Dances," which had been released just a year prior. The album featured the hit single “You Better You Bet,” showcasing a new, more polished sound and arguably moving away from their earlier chaotic style that defined rock 'n' roll in the ‘60s and ‘70s.
