In June 1993, The Cure performed a memorable live set at Finsbury Park, London, during the 'Great X pectations Festival,' held by XFM. This concert came on the heels of their album, *Wish*, released the previous year, which marked a significant moment in their trajectory. *Wish* features iconic tracks like “Friday I’m in Love” and “A Night Like This,” capturing their signature blend of gothic rock and pop sensibilities. This show also holds the distinction of being their first performance after the departure of long-time guitarist Porl Thompson, adding an emotional layer to the event as fans were eager to see how the band would adapt. Interestingly, the 1993 lineup featured the remaining core members, including the ever-charismatic Robert Smith.
