The Cure
The Cure Full Concert at Palaeur, Roma, Italy
In May 2000, during their lively concert at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome, The Cure was riding high on the success of their album *Bloodflowers*, which had been released earlier that year. This was a significant period for the band, marking a return to their darker, more atmospheric sound that had garnered them legions of devoted fans since the 1980s. Interestingly, *Bloodflowers* was often viewed as the closing chapter of what many fans called their "triptych" of albums, along with *Disintegration* and *Wish*. Just prior to the live recording, The Cure had been celebrated for their immersive performances and rich, layered soundscapes, which were a hallmark of this era. The Rome show not only showcased their impressive catalog but also highlighted the band’s enduring appeal, blending nostalgia with fresh artistry that still resonates with audiences today.
