In July 2012, during a standout performance at the Vieilles Charrues festival in Carhaix, France, The Cure delivered a mesmerizing rendition of their iconic track, “A Forest.” By this point in their journey, The Cure had just released their studio album *4:13 Dream* in 2008, which marked a continuous evolution of their sound while maintaining the atmospheric and moody elements fans had come to love. Interestingly, although *4:13 Dream* didn’t hit the charts as explosively as some earlier records, the band embraced their legacy, merging new material with cherished classics in live performances.
