Back in April 2015, when Blur graced the stage of Maidstone Studios for their live performance on Jools Holland, the band was riding high on the release of their critically acclaimed album *The Magic Whip*. This album came out just a few weeks prior, on April 27, and marked Blur's return after a long hiatus since *Think Tank* in 2003. A delightful blend of Britpop nostalgia and fresh sonic experimentation, *The Magic Whip* was crafted during an impromptu recording session in Hong Kong, showcasing their evolution while staying true to their roots. What’s particularly cool about this performance is the setlist—it featured gems like "My Terracotta Heart" and "Go Out," which truly highlighted the band's dynamic range. It was a time steeped in excitement for fans, as they eagerly anticipated the revival of Blur’s iconic sound. Plus, seeing them live so many years later reminded everyone that while some things might change, their energy and creativity remain timeless.
