Soundgarden Live at The Fox Theater - Outshined Performance
On May 17, 2017, Soundgarden delivered an electrifying performance of “Outshined” at the historic Fox Theatre in Detroit. This concert came just a few years after the release of their critically acclaimed album *King Animal* in 2012, which marked their first studio album in over 16 years. The band was undoubtedly riding a wave of nostalgia and renewed energy after reuniting in 2010; it was a thrilling time as they revisited their grunge roots while also experimenting with their sound. Interestingly, this show was part of the band’s final tour, as they tragically lost frontman Chris Cornell just weeks later. Watching this live recording reminds us of the poignant legacy he left behind—his voice had that raw, unmistakable power that could just send chills down your spine. It’s a bittersweet reminder of the heights Soundgarden reached, both as a band and as a central figure in the rock scene.
