Venue: John F. Kennedy Stadium Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States Date: July 13, 1985

In July 1985, The Beach Boys performed at the historic Live Aid concert, a monumental event aimed at raising funds for the Ethiopian famine disaster. At this point in their career, the band was enjoying a resurgence in popularity, aided by their classic hits and a successful return to the music scene in the early '80s. Just prior to Live Aid, The Beach Boys had released the album "The Beach Boys" in 1985, which included the well-received track "Getcha Back." The Live Aid performance, fronted by founding member Brian Wilson, was notable not only for its impressive lineup of artists but also for the band's continued ability to captivate large audiences with their timeless sound. The event, attended by around 100,000 people, highlighted the band's enduring legacy and their capacity to engage with social causes through music.
