Red Hot Chili Peppers

Back in November 1986, the Red Hot Chili Peppers were riding high on the wave of their third studio album, *The Uplift Mofo Party Plan*. Released just a few months earlier, in April of the same year, this album marked the group's first full work as a four-piece, showcasing the dynamic energy and funk-infused punk sound they were famously known for. Their live performance at the Hoosier Ballroom in Indianapolis, captured in the *Backwoods Live* recording, highlights their fiery stage presence and close-knit band chemistry, which had evolved through years of touring and experimentation. It was around this time that they began to build a dedicated fan base, drawing attention for their distinct style and energetic shows. Interestingly enough, this period paved the way for the band's breakthrough, leading to the release of *Mother's Milk* just a few years later, which propelled them into mainstream success.
