You could really feel the evolution in tracks like "Dani California" and "Snow (Hey Oh)", but "Parallel Universe," the song performed in the live recording, reflected their signature blend of hard-hitting funk with introspective lyrics, both elevating and embodying their unique style. An interesting tidbit: during this period, the band was rejuvenated following the return of guitarist John Frusciante, whose creativity was instrumental in shaping their sound and bringing back that electric chemistry.
