On April 14, 2017, the Red Hot Chili Peppers unleashed their vibrant energy at Philips Arena in Atlanta, during their tour supporting the album *The Getaway*, which had been released just the year prior, on June 17, 2016. This period marked a significant chapter for the band as they successfully embraced a more polished sound, thanks in part to producer Danger Mouse. The album, featuring hits like "Go Robot" and "Dark Necessities," showcased a fresh direction while still retaining their signature funk-rock vibe. Interestingly, *The Getaway* was the first album since 2006's *Stadium Arcadium* that didn’t include guitarist John Frusciante, as he had stepped away from the band. The live show in Atlanta not only highlighted their established hits but also reflected how the band was evolving, engaging audiences both old and new with their dynamic performances, rich with intricate instrumentals and heartfelt lyrics that truly resonate.
