Pixies

By the time of their April 23, 2011, live recording in Milwaukee, the Pixies were riding high on a wave of resurgence that had started with their reunification in 2004. Their album "Dolittle," released way back in 1989, still held sway as a cornerstone of ’90s alternative rock, but it’s interesting to note that this particular live performance didn’t come on the heels of a new studio album. In fact, their last studio album prior to this concert, “Indie Cindy,” wouldn’t drop until 2014. They’ve become legends of the indie scene, blending raw rock with elements of surf and noise.
