Pixies

Back in 2011, when the Pixies took the stage in Calgary at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, they were riding the wave of their reunion period quite successfully. Before this invigorating performance of "Monkey Gone to Heaven," they had released "Indie Cindy," in 2014, marking their first full-length album since their split in 1993. This album, though somewhat a mixed bag among fans, sparked a renewed interest in their distinctive blend of punk, surf rock, and a bit of the surreal.
