Pixies

In July 2017, when the Pixies graced the stage at Lollapalooza in Paris, they were riding the wave of their recently released album, *Head Carrier*, which had debuted in September 2016. This was a notable milestone for the band, marking their first release with new bassist Paz Lenchantin, who stepped in after the departure of founding member Kim Deal. The energy at the Hippodrome de Longchamps that day must have been electric, especially knowing the Pixies' knack for blending punk rock intensity with melodic hooks. Additionally, this festival appearance happened just a year after their “indefinite hiatus” that lasted from the late '90s until their reunion in 2004. With their catalog of hits like "Where Is My Mind?" and "Debaser" to draw from, fans were treated to a live showcase that echoed both nostalgia and the band's enduring evolution in the indie rock scene.
