Pixies

Back in 2015, when Pixies took the stage at the Cleveland Masonic Auditorium on May 17, they were riding the wave of their revival after a lengthy hiatus. Just two years earlier, in 2014, they released "Indie Cindy," their first album since reuniting. This marked an exciting time—fans were buzzing with anticipation about new material, and "Indie Cindy" was a chance for the band to reconnect with the sound that made them indie rock legends. It's interesting to note that the concert featured “Mr. Grieves,” a beloved track from their iconic 1989 album, "Doolittle." This live performance not only exemplified their enduring appeal but also showcased Black Francis’s distinctive songwriting—a testament to the band's ability to blend nostalgia with fresh energy. The blend of older and newer tracks keeps the magic alive, serving as a bridge between generations of fans, all taken in on that memorable night in Cleveland.
