Pixies

In July 2017, when Pixies took the stage at the Positivus Festival in Latvia, they were riding high on the wave of their 2016 album, *Head Carrier*. This marked a significant moment for the band, as it was their second full-length album since their reunion in 2004, returning to their roots while still pushing their sound forward. *Number 13 Baby*, the track they performed live, is a fan favorite, showcasing their signature blend of loud-quiet dynamics and sharp lyrical wit. An interesting tidbit? The set at Positivus was part of a busy touring schedule which included numerous festival appearances. Plus, with the announcement of their 2019 album *Beneath the Eyrie*, it was clear that they were not just looking back but also forging ahead in their sonic journey, proving that the Pixies' legacy is very much alive and kicking.
