Deep Purple

In July 2006, Deep Purple gave an electrifying performance at the Auditorium Stravinski in Montreux, Switzerland, where they delivered a live rendition of their classic "Space Truckin'." This show formed part of their album "Rapture of the Deep," which was released in 2005. At this point in their career, Deep Purple was celebrating their legacy as one of the pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal. This live gig was particularly nostalgic, taking place at Montreux, a venue linked to their renowned song “Smoke on the Water.” Interestingly, the Montreux Casino fire in 1971 inspired that iconic track, adding layers of history and emotion to their performances at this venue. This concert showcased the band's enduring spirit and musicianship, proving that even after decades, they could still captivate audiences with their high-energy shows.
