Deep Purple Live Performance of Classic Hits at Taipei World Trade Center
In May 2010, Deep Purple delivered a sensational performance at the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall in Taipei, marking a significant event as it was their first ever concert in Taiwan. At this point in their career, the band was promoting their album 'Rapture of the Deep,' which was released in 2005. This album highlighted their enduring legacy in the rock genre, showcasing a mix of classic Deep Purple sound with modern touches. Interestingly, the band's lineup has evolved over the years, but in 2010, they featured Ian Gillan on vocals, who’s known for his powerful voice, and the legendary guitarist Steve Morse, whose contributions brought a fresh twist to their iconic sound. This performance encapsulated the band's ability to adapt and captivate new audiences, ensuring their place in rock history.
