Stone Temple Pilots

On April 28, 2015, Scott Weiland performed a live rendition of "Meatplow," a Stone Temple Pilots classic, at the House of Blues in Boston. Prior to this recording, the Stone Temple Pilots had released their self-titled album in 2010, marking a new chapter after a tumultuous period in the band’s history. After a decade-long hiatus and various lineup changes, the band reunited, but they chose to part ways with Weiland in 2013, leading to the inclusion of new frontman Chester Bennington briefly. Ironically, this performance highlights Weiland's complexity as an artist, expressing both nostalgia and a renewed connection to his legacy. His raw energy and vocal flair in the cover remind fans of his influential role in the band's sound, rekindling the essential grit that defined the 90s rock scene. As they say, you can take the boy out of the band, but you can't take the band out of the boy!
