Super Furry Animals

On June 1, 1996, Super Furry Animals performed "If You Don't Want Me To Destroy You" on "Later... with Jools Holland," marking their first appearance on the show. By this time, the band had recently released their highly acclaimed debut album, *Fuzzy Logic*, in 1996, which showcased their eclectic sound blending rock, pop, and experimental elements. The single featured in the performance was part of the band's early catalog as they were establishing themselves within the Britpop and alternative rock scenes of the time. Interestingly, during the performance, there was a humorous exchange between lead vocalist Gruff Rhys and host Jools Holland, highlighting the band's charismatic stage presence and willingness to engage with the audience. This appearance contributed to the band's growing popularity and paved the way for their subsequent releases, including the follow-up album, *Radiator*, later that year.
