David Gilmour

In July 2016, David Gilmour performed live at the Roman Amphitheatre in Pompeii, capturing a significant moment in his career. This concert was part of his "Rattle That Lock" tour, which was in support of his album "Rattle That Lock," released in September 2015. The live performance featured the iconic song "Comfortably Numb," originally by Pink Floyd, a band Gilmour was integral to as a guitarist and vocalist. The concert also marked a return to Pompeii, a location famously associated with his earlier film and live recordings in 1971. Notably, Gilmour's performance was unique as it occurred in the same venue where Pink Floyd had filmed their legendary concert movie, creating a powerful connection between past and present. The DVD of the concert was later released, bringing the experience to fans unable to attend in person.
