The Breeders

This album, which came out in August 1993, was pivotal in solidifying the band's presence in the alternative rock scene and included notable tracks like "Cannonball" and "Divine Hammer." The live recording took place during a period of significant success for the group; "Last Splash" not only showcased their unique sound, blending punk and pop influences but also gained critical acclaim, leading to widespread exposure, including the MTV performance. The concert aired on December 31, 1993, marking a notable moment in the band's trajectory as they emerged as key figures in the 1990s music landscape. Interestingly, this was the last album featuring the original lineup for several years, making this performance particularly significant in the band's history.
