On July 30, 1992, when Pavement performed at The Khyber Pass in Philadelphia, they were in the early stages of their career following the release of their debut album, "Slanted and Enchanted," which came out the previous year, in 1992. The album quickly garnered critical acclaim and is often regarded as a seminal work in the indie rock genre, impacting the sound of many bands that followed. The live performance featured several tracks from this debut album, showcasing the band's unique blend of lo-fi aesthetics and sharp lyrical wit.
