In June 2014, when Jack White performed at the Château de Fontainebleau for La Blogothèque's Take Away Show, he was in an exciting phase of his solo career, following the release of his debut solo album, "Blunderbuss," in April 2012. This album showcased his range as an artist, blending elements of rock, blues, and folk, and it received critical acclaim, emphasizing his versatility beyond his work with The White Stripes. Prior to the performance, White had also released "Lazaretto" in June 2014, just days before the recording, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and broke multiple sales records upon release. Notably, the live set included "Same Boy You've Always Known," a song from his previous work with The White Stripes, demonstrating his deep-rooted connection to his earlier music, while "Entitlement" highlighted his evolving sound and lyrical exploration at this stage in his career.
