During the live recording of "Money to Burn" on April 20, 2003, MGMT was just beginning to make waves in the indie music scene. This concert, part of Wesleyan University's Zonker Harris Day, came before the release of their debut album, 'Oracular Spectacular,' which wouldn't drop until 2007. By this time, the duo was performing tracks that hinted at their innovative sound—and you can hear the experimental roots that would later define their style. It's fascinating to think that these live moments were when MGMT was still finding their footing, experimenting with their music in front of an intimate crowd.
