Deerhoof

On May 26, 2017, Deerhoof performed at the Boston Calling music festival, showcasing their distinct avant-garde sound with the song "The Tears and Music of Love." This live recording occurred shortly after the release of their album "The Magic," which came out in August 2016. "The Magic" was notable for its exploration of unconventional song structures and vibrant instrumentation, continuing Deerhoof's tradition of pushing boundaries. During this period, Deerhoof was celebrating over two decades together, known for their experimental style and energetic performances. The band comprises founding members Satomi Matsuzaki and John Dieterich, along with Ed Rodriguez. Their dynamic and eclectic approach to creating music, especially evident in live performances like this one, demonstrates how they have maintained a unique and influential presence in the indie music scene.
