On October 31, 2000, At the Drive-In performed "One-Armed Scissor" on the Conan O'Brien Show, marking a significant moment during their career as they gained broader national exposure. This live performance occurred shortly after the release of their acclaimed album, "Relationship of Command," which came out earlier that year in September. This album is often recognized for pushing the boundaries of post-hardcore music and helped to establish At the Drive-In as key figures in the genre. The performance on Conan showcased their energetic style and complex sound, highlighting the band's critical role in the late '90s and early 2000s rock scene. Interestingly, shortly after this period, the band would go on an indefinite hiatus, making this performance one of the last opportunities for fans to see them in that lineup for quite some time.
