In July 2019, Doves performed at Kendal Calling, presenting a live rendition of "There Goes The Fear." This performance occurred during a significant phase in their career, shortly after the band announced their reunion in 2019, following a hiatus that began in 2010. The live recording reflects the excitement surrounding their comeback, coinciding with the release of their highly anticipated album “The Universal Want,” which came out later that year. Notably, before disbanding, Doves had achieved considerable success with their earlier albums, including the critically acclaimed “Kingdom of Rust” (2009). Their return to the stage at a festival known for its eclectic lineup illustrates the band's enduring popularity and ability to captivate audiences, marked by their signature blend of melancholic melodies and evocative lyrics.
