Melvins

In 2007, Melvins was experiencing a revitalization in their career, particularly through their collaboration with the band Big Business. Before the live recording at the Øyafestivalen in Oslo on August 11, 2007, Melvins had released their album "A Senile Animal" in 2006, which marked a significant moment as it was their first album to feature Big Business members Coady Willis and Jared Warren. This collaboration infused a new energy into their sound and live performances, which is evident in the shared aggression and complexity in "A History of Bad Men" as showcased in the live video. The melding of both bands' styles during this period arguably contributed to a resurgence in interest in the Melvins, showing the band's ability to innovate and evolve while maintaining their distinctive heavy sound.
