As of May 9, 2024, Kings of Leon is actively promoting their latest album, "Can We Please Have Fun," during their performance at Copperline Ranch in Nashville for the Amazon Music City Sessions. This album marks a significant evolution in their sound, reflecting a more matured approach as the band continues to explore new musical terrain. Prior to this album, they released "When You See Yourself" in March 2021, which was their eighth studio effort. "When You See Yourself" was notable for being the band's first release since moving to a more independent label, following their stint with RCA Records. During the live recording, they perform "Nothing to Do," marking its live debut, showcasing their ongoing commitment to evolving their repertoire. The intimate setting of Copperline Ranch also highlights a deeper connection with fans, emphasizing their Southern roots and the authenticity for which the band has always been known.
