In June 2018, at The Ready Room in St. Louis, Parquet Courts delivered a vibrant live cover of the Ramones’ classic 'Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World.' This performance came on the heels of their 2018 album 'Wide Awoke!', which showcased their blend of punk rock energy and introspective lyrics, reflecting a significant evolution in their sound. By this time, Parquet Courts had already solidified their place in the indie rock scene, known for their experimental approach and social commentary in music. Interestingly, 'Wide Awoke!' marked a notable collaborative spirit, blending genres seamlessly and further pushing their artistic boundaries, which undoubtedly fueled the electric atmosphere during their live shows.
