On February 16, 2018, Parquet Courts delivered a captivating performance of 'Normalization' at KEXP in Seattle, right after the release of their fifth studio album, 'Wide Awake!' This album, which came out in April 2018, showcases the band's evolution towards a more dance-oriented, energetic sound while still grounding their lyrical wit and social commentary. Interestingly, by this point, Parquet Courts had firmly positioned themselves as indie rock trailblazers, known for their ability to seamlessly blend genres.
