In January 2009, Grizzly Bear was coming off the success of their critically acclaimed album, "Yellow House," which was released in 2006. This album marked a significant turning point for the band, showcasing their distinct blend of layered harmonies and intricate instrumentation. During this period, they were gaining considerable recognition in the indie music scene, leading to their participation in various live performances, including the one captured in the stained-glass chapel. The live recording of "Fix It" featured the band's lush, psychedelic folk style and highlighted their ability to create an ethereal atmosphere, blending seamlessly with the unique venue. In 2009, the band was not only solidifying their presence but also experimenting with new sounds that would later evolve in their follow-up album, "Veckatimest," released in 2009, which further pushed their artistic boundaries.
