Pavement

Before this first live recording at KDVS Radio on December 14, 1989, Pavement had just released their debut EP, 'Slay Tracks (1933-1969),' earlier that same year. It's fascinating how this happened during a pivotal time for the band, as they were still refining their sound and identity, capturing the raw edge of their early days. Performing 'Home,' a track from their upcoming album 'Perfect Sound Forever', the excitement in the air must’ve been electric, with fans eagerly anticipating what Pavement would unleash next. It’s interesting to note that this live performance showcases the band’s signature lo-fi aesthetic and inventive songwriting which would eventually lead them to become icons of the 90s indie rock scene.
