Just prior to this, he had released his debut solo album, "Blunderbuss," which hit the shelves in April of the same year. This album showcased a fresh direction for White, blending rock elements with hints of blues and folk, and it quickly topped the Billboard charts. What’s particularly interesting is that this live recording captured White at a pivotal moment—he transitioned from his work with The White Stripes and other bands into a solo career, establishing himself as a dynamic solo artist. The energy he brought to the stage at Voodoo, flanked by his band The Buzzards, perfectly encapsulated the raw emotion and artistry that fans love about him.
