In October 2012, Jack White was riding high on the success of his debut solo album, "Blunderbuss," which had been released just months earlier in April. This was a pivotal moment in his career as it marked his transition from being known primarily as the frontman of The White Stripes to a solo artist carving out his own identity. The live recording of "Fell In Love With A Girl" at The Voodoo Experience highlights not only his powerful performance style but also the energy he brought to the stage during this solo phase. Interestingly, during this period, he experimented with different musical influences, moving beyond the garage rock sound of his earlier work, and the Voodoo performance was a showcase of that new direction.
