The Kooks

In February 2008, The Kooks performed at KYSR-FM Studios in Burbank, the same year they were riding high on the success of their debut album, "Inside In/Inside Out," released in 2006. This live recording of "Sway" captures their raw energy and complementing harmonies just as they were gaining momentum in the indie rock scene. Interestingly, the band’s sound was heavily influenced by the British rock wave of the early 2000s, and their playful lyrics often connected with a wide audience. By this time, they had already produced hits like "She Moves In Her Own Way" and "Ooh La," trailing a fresh, feel-good vibe that resonated during live shows. This performance solidified their position as budding stars, showcasing their charm and musicality while fans eagerly anticipated their follow-up album, which would arrive later in 2008.
