In March 1999, Morphine performed at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City, capturing a moment of their unique sound and evolving artistry during their Spring '99 Tour. This live recording took place shortly after the release of their album "The Night," which came out in 1997. Interestingly, this album marked a critical point for the band, showcasing their signature blend of alternative rock with sultry jazz influences. The performance features Mark Sandman on his distinctive 2-string slide bass, alongside saxophonist Dana Colley and drummer Billy Conway, creating a captivating atmosphere that is quintessentially Morphine.
