Before the live performance of "Dicknail" at Club Lingerie in 1989, Hole had just released their seminal debut album, "Pretty on the Inside," earlier that year. Interestingly, "Dicknail" was one of the tracks that showcased their punk influences, brilliantly co-written by Love and Eric Erlandson.
