On April 25, 2018, Unknown Mortal Orchestra performed their soulful track "Hunnybee" live at Brooklyn Steel. By this time, the band had recently released their album "Sex & Food" in April 2018, which showcased their signature blend of psychedelic rock and experimental sounds. This release marked an evolution in their style, building upon the success of their previous projects and solidifying their position in the indie music scene. "Sex & Food" was inspired by various global influences, reflecting the band’s travels and experiences. Interestingly, the band's frontman, Ruban Nielson, mentioned the dynamic nature of the recording process, capturing the spontaneity of their live performances.
