Archers of Loaf

On May 25, 2019, Archers of Loaf delivered an electrifying performance at the Mohawk in Austin, captured live in Studio 1A. By this time, the band had reunited and was enjoying a renaissance of sorts, having initially disbanded back in 1998. Their discography was revitalized with a series of live shows and tours spurred by nostalgic appreciation for their earlier work. Before this live gig, they had released a compilation album titled 'Reasons in the Sun: The Best of Archers of Loaf' in 2014, reminding fans of their profound impact in the indie rock scene. This particular recording features the song 'Smokin Pot in the Hot City,' showcasing their signature blend of noise rock vibes and catchy melodies. Notably, the performance highlights the band's ability to maintain their raw energy, even after decades, demonstrating that their connection to the music—and each other—remains undeniably strong.
